This is the main or Home page of my harpazo website. As you know “harpazo” is the Greek word for “rapture”. You say “rapture” is not in the bible … yah I know … neither is the word “church” or “salvation”. “harpazo” was translated from Greek to the Latin word “rapturo” then transliterated from Latin to English as “rapture”. Conclusion … “rapture” is in the Bible.
The “rapture” is sometimes thought of as an appendix like doctrine. An appendage of questionable efficacy. Don’t worry … be happy! I contend that the rapture is a central and possibly the most important doctrine in the Bible. It is also one of the most contested and confusing doctrines. The purpose of this website is first to understand the Biblical account and then to examine other rapture systems of thought. ie: pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, pre-wrath. To accomplish this task, I will review and analyse various web sites and try and understand their view.

- biblestudytools.com I like the lexicon pages that deliver lots of info on Bible words.
- I use esword all the time on my windows box. Works on Mac also … but not Linux.
- On my Linux box I run xiphos which is comparable to e-sword.
- I use the WEB (World English Bible) on this and other sites. It is a free modern updated version based on the American Standard Version renowned for its literary accuracy. Add Web modules to both e-Sword and Xiphos. There are various audio versions and I like this one by Winfred W. Henson for its clarity and tempo.
